After years of forays, Lukens settled in Richland Township, Upper Bucks County, Pennsylvania where he maintains a home and studio.
For a decade, he has been represented by Chapman Gallery of Doylestown, PA. He has generously opened his heart and expertise to teach students from beginning to the familiar in the techniques of oil painting, encouraging them to embrace their own style. On November 4, 2017, he opened the Main Street Gallery in Quakertown where patrons can view his selected works and the work of his students.
In the midst of hitting his stride with galleries and shows, Jim commits to both charities and benefits that form a wellspring of inspiration and humility.
